Doing a proper restoration on a coupe is not an all or nothing undertaking. If done in the proper stages an excellent result can be achieved without a huge outlay of funds at one time. This car will have the engine bay repaired as needed, prepped, and sprayed. Factory mats have been removed so we can get an clean starting point.
- damaged drain port / passenger side
- another view of cut off and damaged passenger side drain port. hole in the lower firewall will need to be cleaned up so it can be properly sealed
- driver side under the upper mats...nice an dry
- this is what you want to see in a solid car...nice seams
- fire residue
- someone had fun with a hammer on the factory drain ports? can't figure this one out
- damaged drain port
- Surface rust on the passenger side area above the bulkhead. Looks like it was caused by water collected under the factory mats. Not coming up from underneath...this is not as scary as it looks
- looks worse than it really is...will need some attention
- seams look very good
- fender channels look very solid
- looks like a minor engine fire took place...no serious damage
