This car is finally ready for sale. A SoCal car all it’s life, with 4 owners from new, this car has led a sheltered life. Originally an automatic I converted the car to a 5 speed manual, and while at it replaced the original low-compression original motor with a freshly rebuilt 9.5:1 CR eurospec motor with Webers.
Mechanically all is fresh and sound including all the lights, PW and AC. Recently checked the compression on the motor and it was 195# in all 6 cylinders, so it’s got a lot of ‘pop’.The engine bay was also resprayed and detailed when the engine was removed, and many details of the compartment have been powder coated and replated. Interior was redone but retaining the original German wool carpet which is in wonderful shape. The seats are new leather as are the door panels.
The wood and dash have been refinished as well and the interior is beautiful and inviting. The body of this car is one of the nicest I have ever seen with no signs of damage or accidents. Extremely rustfree, even after a thorough inspection, the only area a 1/4″ bubble at the bottom of the right front fender that we sealed from the inside to prevent it’s spread. The paint is bright and good, but it is showing it’s age at close inspection. As the engine bay and trunk compartments were detailed, a final exterior only respray could be done to finish the restoration, but I don’t think it is yet needed. Runs well and is smoothly powerful and beautiful.
