1952 Electric Shopper

Let it never be said that the Coupeking is without an environmental conscience. Proving his bona fides is this early electric car, rescued from behind an apartment in Long Beach, where it was built 56 years ago. Powered by 4-6V batteries, these early scooters were used by elderly folks–of which lots used to live in Long Beach–to do their daily grocery shopping. Apparently got 30 hrs to a charge. Soon to be used on burrito/burger runs for the shop, saving the dino-juice for more fun applications. Kinda partial to the ‘well patinated’ look.
